We've just had the plumber and electrician on-site for a preliminary walk-through earlier this week and also on thursday. The goal was to familiarize them with the location and plan for the temporary services we'll need.

A primary requirement for preliminary works is temporary power. Our plan is to run services along this wall, all the way to the back of the property.

We'll install a temporary DB (distribution board), and as construction progresses and levels are built, we'll set up additional sub-boards.

This "jump-up" strategy helps keep power cord run lengths under 30 meters. It creates a safe and organized system for tradespeople to plug in their power boxes directly, eliminating the need for long, dangerous cables running across the site (cable hanging) and helps prevent us from overloading any one DB.

One other interesting aspect of the plan involves running temporary power across the fence.

This will allow us to set up dedicated power points for the electric utes on the driveway, ensuring they have the energy they need for charging.
